Energy hits the jackpot in Las Vegas

Very well established thanks to the efforts of importer Nash Motorsportz, Energy Corse enjoys an excellent reputation on the American continent. Success is never far away for the Italian brand, which has just achieved magnificent performances at the famous Supernationals in Las Vegas, including a victory in the KA100 Senior and a 2nd place in X30 Senior. From 16th to 20th November, 2022, the Supernationals took place in the huge parking lot of the prestigious Rio Hotel with the 25th edition of this event, which brought together no less than 590 drivers. Numerous karts in the Energy Corse colours were entered in Las Vegas, many of them in the imposing awning of the Nash Motorsportz team. On the demanding track designed for the occasion, mixing with subtly fast parts and more technical curves, the Energy Corse chassis was perfectly adapted to these difficult conditions. The brilliance of the drivers and the professionalism of the team obviously played an important role in achieving top results. A perfect collaboration with Nash Motorsportz After a season in FIA Karting where he was always at the front in OK, Tomass Stolcermanis made the trip to Las Vegas and did not regret it. He competed in two categories and reached the podium twice! In the X30 Senior class, he got faster and faster as the Final went on and managed to come back in 2nd place. The young Latvian also took a masterful victory in the KA100 category, dominating the competition on his Energy Corse chassis. The Nash Motorsportz team has undoubtedly done an excellent job! The top 15 of the Hungarian Martin Molnar in KA100 Junior in a category with 67 participants is also worth mentioning. In X30 Junior, Energy Corse was represented by Nicolas Stati and Ky Burke, who set a remarkable 3rd fastest time in Timed Practice. And in X30 Master, Chris Wehrheim managed to finish two heats in 3rd position. “In Europe, we started the season with a win at Lonato. Almost 10 months later, we end 2022 with a victory in the fairytale setting of Las Vegas, it’s incredible,” exclaimed Michele Panigada, the head of Energy Corse. “It is always emotional to win the Supernationals on American soil! It confirms that we have been working in the right direction and that we are doing our best to support our importers worldwide. Once again, the collaboration with the Nash Motorsportz team has proven to be successful. We will again have great ambitions in

WSK Open Cup title after perfect performance in Final

After his successes and podiums in FIA Karting and in Champions of the Future, Tomass Stolcermanis led his Energy Corse-TM Racing team to 1st place in a WSK Promotion series organised over a single meeting in Lonato. In the difficult OK category, the young Latvian driver led the Final from the first to the last lap, to add his name to the list of winners of the latest WSK Open Cup. The Juniors from the Energy Corse team also reached an excellent level of performance. For his debut with the Italian team, Jimmy Helias already had the opportunity to win a heat and finish the Final in the top 10. The Energy Corse team continues to attract young drivers looking to progress to the highest level and aim for the best results in FIA Karting events, as well as in the major international series. After the brilliant performances at the World Championship in Sarno, the team led by Michele Panigada fielded a strong line-up in the Mini, OK-Junior and OK categories. The team remains available for drivers who wish to prepare for their next season, during tests or at the WSK Final Cup series which will be spread over two meetings in November, in Sarno and then in Lonato. Stolcermanis on top of the podium Tomass Stolcermanis started the 2022 season with a win in the Champions of the Future Winter Series, but showed that he is not going to slow down at the end of the season. In the leading group from Qualifying in OK, Tomass prepared his equipment perfectly with the Energy Corse staff during the Qualifying Heats, to arrive ready for the Final phase. He started by moving up to 3rd in the Prefinal, before taking the lead in the Final on the first lap. He quickly increased his lead to almost two seconds, before ensuring a magnificent victory until the end. Congratulations to the technical team led by Luigina Guerrini and Simone Sorio, and to the engine tuner GFR (TM Racing). Helias joins Energy Corse In OK-Junior, the Canadian Jensen Burnett, the Finn Alexandre Dahlstrom, the Swiss Kian Fardin, the Hungarian Martin Molnar and the Belgian Dries Van Langendonck were back with their team two weeks after the World Championship. At South Garda Karting, they were joined by Frenchman Jimmy Helias. This was a reunion of sorts, as Jimmy had finished 6th in the IAME International Final at Le Mans in a Mini in 2017 on an Energy chassis! There were four Energy Corse karts in the Final, but not all were equally successful. Particularly brilliant in the heats (P5, P3, P1, P2 and P6), Helias confirmed his success by finishing 10th in his first OK-Junior race with Energy Corse. 87 drivers were on the grid in 60 Mini, including several in the Energy Corse team colours: the American Kai Johnson, the Lithuanian Ainis Virbiantis (three times in the top five in the heats), the Dutchman Luuka Taal, the Swede Jonathan Landstorm and the Swiss driver Zasov

Duplicated: A season full of victories and podiums for Energy Corse – [#286]

A pole position, several victories in the heats and best laps in the race, four drivers in the top ten in Timed Practice in OK-Junior out of 109 starters, three drivers out of three qualified for the Final in OK, a 94-place improvement for one of the team members and three brilliant top ten finishes in the Finals. The Energy Corse team can look back on a fantastic sporting result at the FIA Karting World Championship in Sarno. “After our excellent results in the European Championship, we prepared rigourously for this World Championship during the summer,” commented Mick Panigada, Energy Corse team manager. “Technically, our equipment was particularly competitive thanks to the incredible work done by Luigina Guerrini, Simone Sorio and all our technical staff, whom I would like to congratulate here for their quality and professionalism. The performance was there, both with the ‘Option’ tyres for OK-Junior, and with the ‘Prime’ for OK. We again benefited from a solid collaboration with GFR Engines, Machac Motors and the TM Racing brand for the engines. Our partnerships with Sparco, New Line Racing and Tillett Racing Seats are also a guarantee of seriousness and quality for our team.” 100% finalists in OK The three drivers entered in OK by the Energy Corse team were all competitive. Matheus Ferreira started the competition with the 2nd fastest time out of a total of 90 drivers! He had several top three finishes in the heats and was 5th in his Super Heat. Unfortunately, a retirement in one heat prevented him from starting from one of the first two rows on the starting grid of the Final. The Brazilian in Alpine colours was then caught up in a collision on the first lap and had to retire with many regrets. 12th in Timed Practice, Akshay Bohra held his place perfectly during the Qualifying Heats. In the Final, a penalty for incorrect position of the front fairing pushed him back to 26th position. As for Tomas Stolcermanis, he was as brilliant as usual. Constantly at the front, 2nd in his Super Heat, he fought for a long time for a place on the podium in the Final. The closing battles in a turbulent field were not in his favour, but the Latvian finally finished in a superb 7th place for his very first OK World Championship. Fardin and Van Langendonck create a surprise in OK-Junior Young Kian Fardin was one of the sensations of the World Championship. The Swiss driver not only took pole position in the 109-strong OK-Junior class, but also remained in the leading group during all the heats. Unfortunately, he had two disappointments on Sunday. First he was caught by another driver in his Super Heat, then he retired in the Final with the top ten in sight. Martin Molnar also impressed: P10 in the Timed Qualifying, P6 after the heats and P4 on the grid in the Final. Unfortunately, the Hungarian had to deal with increasing rib pain during the Final, but he courageously finished in 8th position, behind his team-mate Dries Van Langendonck. Dries Van Langendonck achieved an incredible performance in his very first OK-Junior race, even though he was still driving a Mini in July! The Belgian won two heats and fought hard until the end to finish 8th. Well done Dries! Jules Caranta also did a great job… A few grams missing on the scale after Qualifying put him at the back of the pack in all the heats. Despite this blow of fate, the Frenchman came back 15th in the Final after a gain of 94 places and more than 100 overtaking moves without a single penalty. What a sensational comeback! Energy Corse also congratulates Alexander Dahlstrom and Andrey Adaykin for their performance in Timed Practice, and Toby Dvorak and Jensen Burnett for their performance in the Qualifying

An extremely positive result in the European Championship

Since January and the first international event of this intense 2022 season, Energy Corse has established itself as one of the most successful teams at the highest level of karting. Numerous successes and podiums have rewarded the efforts of the drivers and technical staff at all levels, especially in the FIA Karting European Championship in the OK and OK-Junior categories. “I would like to congratulate all those who have been involved in the success of our team since the start of this season,” said Mick Panigada, Energy Corse team manager. “First of all, congratulations to our young drivers, some of whom have made remarkable progress since joining our team. Luigina Guerrini and Simone Sorio have been able to guide our team on a technical and strategic level, with a constant 100% involvement. The Energy Corse chassis, recently homologated by CIK-FIA, are still a reference on the international scene, as are the TM Racing engines from GFR. The performance of our main engine builder’s engines has been a great help.” Stolcermanis, a regular contender for victory in OK As he did in OK-Junior in 2021, Tomass Stolcermanis has made OK his field of conquest in 2022. The young Latvian won his first race in the category at the Champions of the Future Winter Series. He also finished the WSK Super Master Series with two consecutive top 10 finishes in March. In Portimao, Stolcermanis proved to be very fast, first finishing 3rd in the Champions of the Future Euro Series. Two weeks later at the European Championship he was unfortunately denied victory due to a penalty (fairing position). He took his revenge by mounting the third step of the podium in Kristianstad in Sweden. Fairly unlucky in Franciacorta, he nevertheless increased his points total and took 7th position in the final European Championship ranking. Two weeks before, he had won in the Champions of the Future Euro Series on this Italian circuit, which he finished in 3rd position. His team-mate Akshay Bohra continued his progression in OK, notably joining the top 12 in the Champions of the Future Euro Series in Sweden. OK-Junior: Some very talented youngsters at Energy Corse Fastest laps in the race, purple sectors and repeated top five finishes in the heats as well as in the Finals were good habits developed by the Energy Corse drivers during the international meetings. Andres Cardenas started the season with a victory in the WSK Champions Cup, before taking the second step of the podium in the Champions of the Future Winter Series. The Peruvian driver has often been at the forefront of his European campaign: 4th in Portimao in COTF and points in the highly competitive European Championship. Finishing in the points three times out of four in the European Championship, with a remarkable 5th place in Zuera in Spain, Frenchman Jules Caranta has brilliantly earned his place in the final top 10 in FIA Karting. His last race in Franciacorta ended with a remarkable recovery of more than 20 places. Known for training young drivers to exploit their potential to the full, the Energy Corse team has supported Martin Molnar in his progression. In addition to his performances in the European Championship, the Hungarian driver had a string of good results in the Champions of the Future Euro Series: 7th in Zuera and an excellent 3rd in Franciacorta. The Canadian Jensen Burnett also showed himself capable of magnificent performances, while the whole team is thinking of Alexander Dahlstrom, injured in Zuera. The season is far from being over for the Energy Corse team, which still intends to put its drivers in the best situations to get good results in the WSK series and of course in the highly anticipated World Championship in Sarno, Italy in September for the OK and OK-Junior

Energy and success for Stolcermanis before the European Championship

For many years now, the Energy Corse team has been training young karting drivers and guiding them towards victory. On the Franciacorta circuit, this was once again the case during the fourth and final round of the Euro Series organised by RGMMC, the promoter of the FIA Karting Championships. Tomass Stolcermanis put in a stunning performance to win the OK Final and finish the series on the third step of the podium. The Italian team’s level of performance was equally remarkable in OK-Junior, a category that saw Martin Molnar return to 3rd place. Meanwhile, almost 10,000 kilometres away, Schu Dozono won the Japanese Championship with Energy Team Nagao. Fast in all conditions and on all tracks since the beginning of the season, the Energy Team Corse equipment seems to particularly appreciate the characteristics of the Italian circuit of Franciacorta. In OK, Tomass Stolcermanis has been here twice and won both times, showing himself to be particularly comfortable on this challenging track. “The three days I had were particularly fruitful,” said the young Latvian hopeful. “I was 4th in Timed Practice and then I always fought for the win in the heats, except for one when I had to retire. On Sunday morning I won my Super Heat, which boosted my confidence again. I was just worried about my starting position which meant I had to start from the outside. Despite this, I soon realised that I had a very high pace that allowed me to come back and fight with the leaders and aim for the win.” Tomass would then pass the drivers separating him from 1st place one by one to triumph with a lead of more than three seconds and the fastest lap in the race. A great demonstration two weeks before the final of the European OK Championship which will take place on this same circuit. Stolcermanis took the opportunity to move up to 3rd in the final ranking of the 2022 Champions of the Future Euro Series. Martin Molnar on the podium The five drivers entered in the OK-Junior class by Energy Corse all showed their speed and determination. While the category had no less than 78 drivers at the start, all of them managed to take part in the Final: the Hungarian Martin Molnar, the Peruvian Andres Cardenas, the Frenchman Jules Caranta, the Swiss Kian Fardin and the Canadian Jensen Burnett. The latter three also drove a magnificent Super Heat to gain more places before the Final. In Franciacorta, it was Molnar who was the best of the team this time. Already winner of a heat on Friday, he drove a clear round on Saturday and transcended himself on Sunday in the Final to climb on the third step of the podium. In the middle of a tumultuous field in which overtaking was incessant, Cardenas conquered an encouraging 8th position. Unfortunately, Fardin had to retire, Caranta crashed at the start, but Burnett gained 14 places to finish 18th. Once again, the technical staff led by Luigina Guerrini and Simone Sorio worked tirelessly to put the drivers in the best possible position on this difficult circuit, while the engine builder GFR played a big role in this excellent overall result with its high-performance TM Racing machines. At each event, the Energy Corse team led by Michele Panigada can also count on valuable technical support from Tillett Seats and Sparco. Moreover, Energy Corse continues to win in many countries around the world. Already 3rd in the previous round of the prestigious “All Japan Kart Championship”, the fast Schu Dozono crossed the finish line as winner this time. Congratulations also to Energy Japan Team Nagao for this great success. Once again, the partnership with GFR Engines contributed to this brilliant

Another podium for Stolcermanis and Energy Corse in FIA Karting!

Whether in Italy, on the Iberian Peninsula or in Sweden in the Nordic countries, the Energy Corse team continues to do wonders. Already winner of the Champions of the Future Winter Series in Franciacorta, then fighting for victory in the opening round of the 2022 European OK Championship in Portimao, Tomass Stolcermanis has this time climbed to the third step of the podium in FIA Karting in Kristianstad. The Energy Corse team has once again confirmed its great competitiveness at the highest international level. Trophy collection has continued for the Energy Corse drivers from the beginning of the season onwards. “The preparation of the equipment, the working methodology that we apply during Free Practice and the races, as well as the relationships that we maintain with the drivers, allow us to be reactive and to offer the best possible package at each meeting,” said Mick Panigada, the team manager. “I have to thank our technical staff, led by Luigina Gerrini and Simone Sorio, as well as our engine builder GFR for this. We have good drivers, but we also know that the standard of FIA Karting is extremely high and that the gaps are so small that a race can quickly turn one way or the other. This time, the podium awaited us, which is very rewarding for the whole team.” Bravo Tomass! In OK, Tomass Stolcermanis was very fast from the beginning of the meeting on the selective Swedish track of Kristianstad. 4th in the Timed Qualifying, the young Latvian won three heats and confirmed his form by winning the Super Heat with the fastest lap. The place on the outside of the front row is not always the best and Tomass lost three places at the start of the Final, before coming back brilliantly to 3rd position at the chequered flag. Although Tomass Stolcermanis could regret the penalty he received in April in Portugal (incorrect position of the front fairing) which deprived him of the win, the Energy Corse driver was delighted to move up to 6th position in the provisional European Championship ranking, with the possibility of going for the overall podium in July in Franciacorta! Singaporean Akshay Bohra, who had made a spectacular recovery from 28th to 12th place two weeks earlier in the Champions of the Future Euro Series, was one of the fastest drivers in Free Practice at Kristianstad. Unfortunately, the Qualifying session relegated him to the second half of the table. “Two tenths faster could have put him in the top ten in the time trials, which would have changed the face of his meeting,” said Mick Panigada. Ups and downs for the young hopefuls In OK-Junior, the Energy Corse team recorded excellent results in the meetings leading up to the European Championship in Sweden. In FIA Karting in Zuera, Frenchman Jules Caranta achieved one of the best results of his career by finishing 5th in the Final. 14 days earlier, he had started on the front row of the Final at the Champions of the Future Euro Series, before failing to make it to the end. That day, his team-mates Andres Cardenas and Martin Molnar made great comebacks to reach the Final top 10. These three drivers were hoping to confirm their performance on June 5th, but the races were not always favourable to them. All of them hope to take their revenge in July in Franciacorta during the final round of the European Championship. As for the Canadian Jensen Burnett and the Swiss driver Kian Fardin, they continue to progress in their first season in

Remarkable overall performance for the entire Energy Corse team

Energy Corse was clearly one of the most competitive teams in the first round of the FIA Karting European Championships. In OK, Tomass Stolcermanis came close to victory in the Final at Portimao. Unfortunately, his spoiler moved slightly, resulting in a penalty that relegated him to 7th place. In OK-Junior, Energy Corse placed two drivers in the top 10 with Jules Caranta and Martin Molnar, two great revelations of the meeting. From race to race, the Italian team keeps confirming its high level performances, due to the competence of its technical staff and partners. In the WSK in Italy, in the Champions of the Future Euro Series and in FIA Karting, Energy Corse continues its quest for the podium, accompanying its drivers to the top in the optimum conditions. “I am really happy with the work done by the technical team and the atmosphere in our awning,” said Mick Panigada, team manager. “Since the beginning of the year, no matter what type or brand of tyre we use, our chassis has proved to be formidable. Our engine tuner GFR provides us with very effective TM engines and we manage to get the best out of them, with the technical support of the experienced Luigina Guerrini and Simone Sorio. I thank them for their valuable work. We also had an emotional moment when Andres Cardenas, Jules Caranta and Martin Molnar crossed the finish line in 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in one of the OK-Junior heats on Saturday.” Three Energy Corse drivers in the top 10 on the Final grid In OK, the event started with the magnificent pole position achieved by Tomass Stolcermanis. In the heats and in the Super Heat, the Latvian secured his place in the leading group and went into action in the Final. He was in 4th place for several laps, and was in 2nd place at the halfway point of the race. Despite the advantage taken by the leader, he managed to come back to his wake, but he needed an extra lap to pass him. A penalty due to a shifted spoiler deprived him of the podium, but Tomass showed that he was a contender for the European Champion title. In the OK-Junior class, all the Energy Corse riders were fast on the selective southern Portuguese track. Alexander Dahlstrom and Jensen Burnett set surprisingly fast lap times in the heats. However, the Finn suffered a problem in Qualifying which made his weekend more difficult, while the Canadian did not have the success he had hoped for. Martin Molnar, Andres Cardenas and Jules Caranta all placed 3rd, 4th and 9th respectively in Qualifying and were all potential podium finishers. Cardenas went on to win two Qualifying Heats. Unfortunately, the Peruvian dropped out of a race on one occasion and fell down in the points table, complicating the rest of his competition. Molnar managed a brilliant clear round. The Hungarian continued his effort in the Final and achieved the best result of his FIA Karting career by finishing 9th. As for the Frenchman Jules Caranta, he managed his best performance since his debut in OK-Junior. His 2nd place in the Super Heat spoke volumes about his competitiveness. In the Final, he fought bravely, taking 7th place in the last lap! The Energy Corse team is already looking forward to confirming all these positive signals during the next European

Energy Corse takes up residence on the podium

The FIA Karting European Championship for the OK and OK-Junior categories will start in Portugal from 8th to 10th April 2022 and Energy Corse has entered a team of seven drivers. The Italian team has prepared perfectly for the great event by participating in several major international events since the beginning of the season and scoring excellent results. This was also the case at the opening of the Champions of the Future Euro Series in Portimao: Tomass Stolcermanis gained another top three in OK, while Anders Cardenas finished 4th in OK-Junior. The technical staff managed by Luigina Guerrini and Simone Sorio, the competitiveness of the Italian brand’s chassis and the TM Racing engines prepared to perfection by GFR are perfectly in place at Energy Corse! The 2022 season started in January with a victory, and since then, excellent results have followed one after another. The drivers have made the most of this particularly high-performance equipment, while the atmosphere in the Energy Corse awning confirms the team’s state of mind. After gold, bronze for Stolcermanis in OK In the extreme south of Portugal, Tomass Stolcermanis experienced the Euro Series at the forefront, from the first heat to the Final! The Latvian driver was very fast in Free Practice on Thursday (two fastest times), and was 7th in Timed Qualifying, before finishing 1st, 5th and 2nd three times in the Qualifying Heats. Stolcermanis also set the fastest time in the Saturday morning warm-up and finished 4th in the Super Heat. In the Final, he fought hard for 3rd place, four weeks after his victory in the Winter Series. With just a few days to go before the start of the European OK Championship, organised on the same circuit in Portimao, Tomass and his team are hoping to continue this positive momentum. OK-Junior: Successful debut in the Euro Series for Cardenas The Energy chassis proved to be just as effective with the MG tyres used in the OK category as with the Vega tyres used in the OK-Junior category. Andres Cardenas was again able to demonstrate his great talent. Although he was only 13th in Timed Practice, he made the most of his five Qualifying Heats to make a strong comeback, finishing 4th, 6th, 2nd, 4th and 1st, with two fastest laps in the race. No doubt, the Peruvian was there to aim for victory! 3rd in his Super Heat, he played a major role throughout the Final. The fight was relentless in the leading group and Anders Cardenas finally crossed the finish line in a magnificent 4th position. “The whole team is delighted with the excellent results achieved in Portimao by Tomass Stolcermanis and Andres Cardenas,” commented Mick Panigada, Energy Corse manager. “This bodes well as the FIA Karting Championships get underway. Congratulations also to Martin Molnar who gained 13 places in the OK-Junior Final. We are delighted to have welcomed Jules Caranta to our team and we have been constantly looking to help Alexander Dahlstrom and Jensen Burnett

Energy Corse’s 2022 season has begun with victories and podiums

Year after year, Energy Corse continues to demonstrate that it remains one of the best teams internationally, and above all the one that trains young drivers in the best conditions, whatever their nationality. In OK, OK-Junior and Mini, the excellent results follow each other… Tomass Stolcermanis has just made an incredible debut in OK by winning the title at the Champions of the Future Winter Series in his first race in the category. In OK-Junior, Andres Cardenas took the second step of the podium, having already won the WSK Champions Cup in January. And in the 60 Mini, the Energy Corse chassis also created a sensation… What a start to the season for Energy Corse! The technical staff, the engine manufacturer GFR, the TM Racing factory and the various partners have once again enabled the drivers to shine at the highest international level. Thanks to meticulous winter preparation and to its new chassis recently homologated by CIK-FIA, the team managed by Mick Panigada celebrated its first official competition of the year with the victory of Andres Cardenas on the South Garda Karting of Lonato during the WSK Champions Cup. The young Peruvian started 4th in the Final and brilliantly outclassed all his opponents. Cardenas was also very fast in the first two races of the WSK Super Master Series (P4 and P6), before reaching the podium again, this time at one of the circuits that will host a European Championship race, Franciacorta in Italy. Once again Cardenas was impressive in moving up from 9th to 2nd place in the Champions of the Future Winter Series. Stolcermanis dominates OK in Franciacorta Tomass Stolcermanis, the revelation of the season in OK-Junior in 2021, continues to grow in reputation. The recent winner of the World Grand Final in Bahrain chose to make his OK debut at the Winter Series. His first attempt turned into a master stroke: pole position in Timed Qualifying, three victories out of three in the heats, a solo run in the Super Heat and a triumph in the Final with both the fastest lap and the absolute lap record of the event. With his Energy Corse package powered by GFR TMs, Latvia’s Stolcermanis won it all! Energy Corse would also like to congratulate the drivers who represented it brilliantly in 60 Mini in the WSK Promotion events: the Russian Danil Nepliuev, the Angolan Lorenzo Campos and the Lithuanian Ainis Vibriantis. The latter took pole position in Lonato during the second round of the WSK Super Master Series, even though he is only nine years old! He then fought for the front and even for the top five in the Final, before losing a few places at the end of the race in a busy field. “I am very happy with the start of the season of our Energy Corse team, the TM Racing engines and the work of our engine manufacturer GFR,” commented Mick Panigada, head of the Italian team. “Congratulations to Tomass Stolcermanis in OK and to Andres Cardenas in OK-Junior for their winning start to the season, it’s very promising. I am also delighted to welcome the Hungarian driver Martin Molnar and Finn Alexander Dahlstrom to the Junior squad. Together, we will not lack ambition in
